3 x PRESS BRAKE OPERATORS REQUIRED IN CHESHIRE!!!

Do you have Press Brake experience and are you seeking a new permanent job role within the Cheshire area? If so, get in touch with me today as we are recruiting several Press Brake Operators on a permanent contract.

We are looking for experienced Press Brake Operators to join a long‑standing sheet metal manufacturing business in Sandbach (Cheshire). For the first 12 weeks you will be training on day shifts (7:30am - 4:30pm / 7:30am - 12:30pm, Monday to Friday – 39 hours per week), but after training you will move onto a rotating 6‑2/2‑10 shift pattern Monday to Friday (38 hours per week).

During day shifts you will have the OTE between £29,500 – £30,500 per annum (DOE). Once you move onto shifts your annual salary will range between £33,000 – £37,000 per annum. Overtime is regularly available and paid at T1/3 after 39 hours, and T1/2 after 48 hours. The business also offers a £2,000 new‑starter incentive bonus, paid in stages: £200 after the first month, £800 after probation, and the final £1,000 after 12 months of service.

The hiring manager would prefer candidates who have a vast amount of Press Brake experience, but they will consider people with limited experience, though the money on offer will be lower for those with less experience.

Anyone who has operated an Amada, Trumpf, Edward Pearson or Bystronic Press Brake will be well received.

What You Will Do:

  • Set up and operate advanced press machines, including Amada and Edward Pearson models.
  • Perform bend and forming operations using standard and custom punches.
  • Produce high‑quality components for assembly operations while adhering to technical drawings.
  • Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure precision and compliance.
  • Collaborate with a skilled team to optimise production processes and meet deadlines.
  • Maintain a safe and organised work environment in line with industry standards.
  • Perform basic maintenance and cleaning on the machines to keep them running smoothly.

What You Will Bring:

  • Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and make machine adjustments.
  • Confident using hand tools and press brake tooling safely and effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and understand part tolerances.
  • Skilled in using precision measuring instruments to check part quality.ia
  • Reliable, safety‑conscious, and able to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and problem‑solving skills.
