My client is a firmly established SME manufacturing company focused on the supply of metal-based components across a range of sectors. They are seeking a Quality Engineer to join their existing team.

As a Quality Engineer, you will lead the APQP process, resolve quality related issues and ensure that documentation is completed accurately including PPAPs, PFMEAs and audits.

Quality Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Lead the APQP process from initial concept through to delivery
  • Resolve quality related issues
  • Serve as the NPI quality contact for both customers and suppliers
  • Compile and submit PPAPs
  • Quality check throughout the manufacturing processes
  • Ensure that industry quality standards are maintained

Quality Engineer Requirements:

  • HNC or equivalent in engineering
  • Previous experience working in a quality engineering related position
  • Experience working within a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of IAFT 16949 would be beneficial
  • Experienced with APQP, PPAP, FMEA and MSA
  • Must be a team player
  • Able to provide technical support to both customers and the wider engineering teams
