A large food manufacturer are seeking an Engineering Shift Manager to join their engineering team. You will be responsible for leading a team of Engineers, driving high engineering standards and supporting development of Engineers. As an Engineering Shift Manager you would be working a 5-shift continental pattern which provides regular opportunities for conducting Engineering Projects, Continuous Improvement activities and Training & Development.
What You Will Do:
- Lead and manage a team of Shift Engineers and Apprentices, ensuring smooth operations and high performance.
- Oversee engineering activities across fast-paced production lines, ensuring safe plant operations.
- Monitor and improve engineering and operational KPIs, identifying areas for enhancement.
- Ensure equipment is prepared for shift start, performs optimally, and is shut down correctly.
- Manage stock allocation and procurement, liaising with stores and external suppliers.
- Champion improvements in standards, including GMP audits and health & safety initiatives.
What You Will Bring:
- HNC Certification or Advanced Apprenticeship in Engineering.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and a self-motivated attitude.
- Knowledge of engineering processes, instrumentation, and process control.
