We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing business for a Tool Change Setter/Fitter to join their team in Blackburn. This company works with globally recognised brands to design and produce innovative, sustainable components for the vehicles and equipment of the future. The Role
This is a hands‑on position where you will be responsible for carrying out efficient and safe tool changes across injection and blow moulding machinery, ensuring production runs smoothly and downtime is minimised.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out tool changes in line with setting sheets and target times
- Prepare and set up all required secondary equipment
- Accurately complete all tool change documentation
- Identify and report any faults with tools, dyes, or machinery
- Support basic maintenance activities when required
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards
- Return tools and dyes to the toolroom after use
Candidate Requirements
- FLT (Forklift Truck) licence
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment
- Experience with tool and dye changes on injection and/or blow moulding machines
- Ability to follow structured processes and meet deadlines
- Lifting and slinging experience
- Proactive approach to problem‑solving and continuous improvement
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to learn and develop
