We are recruiting for an Engineering Supervisor to join a world-class manufacturing organisation based in Alcester.

This is an excellent opportunity to play a key leadership role within a highly regulated, technically advanced environment, supporting the production of critical components supplied to some of the world's leading aerospace and defence customers.

The Role

As Engineering Supervisor, you will lead and support a team of Manufacturing Engineers and Subject Matter Experts, driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and manufacturing innovation across the site.

Working closely with the Manufacturing and Engineering leadership teams, you will take ownership of engineering projects, productivity improvements, CAPEX initiatives, and process optimisation activities that improve safety, quality, cost, and delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise Manufacturing Engineers and technical specialists across the site.
  • Drive engineering activities that support production performance, safety, quality, and delivery objectives.
  • Manage and coordinate Engineering Enhancement Plans (EEP), delivering strategic improvement initiatives.
  • Support the delivery of site CAPEX projects from concept and justification through to implementation.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, SOPs, setup packs, and process controls.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities using Lean manufacturing principles.
  • Lead root cause analysis and problem-solving activities to improve quality, productivity, and process capability.
  • Manage tooling requirements and ensure robust manufacturing processes are in place to support production demands.
  • Work collaboratively with production, quality, EHS, suppliers, and customers to deliver engineering solutions.
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with industry and customer requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • HNC, HND or Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, continuous improvement, and Lean methodologies.
  • Experience delivering engineering projects, process improvements, or CAPEX initiatives.
  • Knowledge of root cause analysis and structured problem-solving techniques.
  • Comfortable working within highly regulated industries such as aerospace, defence, automotive, precision engineering, or advanced manufacturing.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP systems and engineering software packages.
