Vehicle and Test Rig Design Engineer - 36332664 - £27.30/hr umbrella rate (Inside IR35)

What You Will Do:

- Design bespoke test rigs and components using the 3DX toolset (Catia V6), taking projects from concept to delivery.

- Create detailed 2D drawings for the manufacture of parts at internal workshops and external suppliers.

- Collaborate with customers to identify testing requirements and ensure test rigs meet the specifications.

- Liaise with workshop fitters and supervisors to ensure smooth delivery and assembly of test rigs.

- Manage and plan workloads effectively to deliver on time.

- Validate designs using methods such as hand calculations, kinematics, multi body simulations (MBS), and FEA/CAE.

What You Will Bring:

- Proven experience with CAD software for 3D modelling and 2D drawing creation.

- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies related to road vehicles and vehicle architecture.

- Understanding of various manufacturing techniques and the ability to optimise designs accordingly.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently to resolve technical and process issues.

- Strong organisational skills to manage priorities and deliver high-quality results.
