Large well established manufacturer in Telford seeking Tool Maker to join their team to support production in maintaining tools, JIGs and Die's. Predominantly manual machining, working on a range of tool sizes with some large equipment on site this role will suit tool makers who like problem solving and working with others. Excellent salary and benefits available working a favourable shift with no weekends or nights.

Shift: double days / 37.5 hours per week

As Tool Maker you will:

  • Maintain and prepare existing tooling to ensure optimal performance and production readiness.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on production tooling, adhering to strict schedules and standards.
  • Fabricate, fit, and assemble parts using a variety of equipment such as milling machines, lathes, and surface grinders.
  • Verify and test tools for proper operation, ensuring they meet exact specifications and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to gather feedback and continuously improve tooling processes.

Level 3 qualified in mechanical or relevant area. Hands-on experience with Tool room equipment, including overhead cranes and inspection tools. A proven track record in a manufacturing environment, demonstrating your ability to deliver results. You will have current or recent experience as tool repair technician, tooling engineer, manual machinist or jig, tool and die maintainer.

Very good salary of over £44,000. Competitive Pension and 33 days holiday.
