Fabrication Operator
£28,503.89 + 10% Shift Allowance + Bonus
Double Days | 37.5 Hours Per Week
We're recruiting an experienced Fabrication Operator to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is a great opportunity for someone with Power Press experience looking for a stable, long-term role offering excellent earning potential, training and career development.
The Role:
- Set and operate Power Press machinery safely and efficiently
- Operate Saw and Boschert machinery
- Manufacture components to engineering drawings and work instructions
- Read and interpret technical drawings using Windchill
- Carry out dimensional and visual quality inspections
- Complete basic machine maintenance
- Maintain high standards of health & safety, quality and housekeeping
- Support continuous improvement within the fabrication department
What We're Looking For:
- Previous Power Press operating experience is essential
- Experience within fabrication, sheet metal or manufacturing
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience carrying out dimensional and visual inspections
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Desirable:
- Power Press certification or relevant machine qualifications
- Boschert or Saw operating experience
- Forklift licence
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
Experience as a Sheet Metal Worker, Press Setter, Power Press Setter, Fabricator or Steel Fabricator would be advantageous.
