What You Will Do:
- Assist with product development by liaising with suppliers and the purchasing department to ensure components meet required specifications.
- Collaborate with the Head Design Engineer to update drawings and communicate changes to the production team.
- Take ownership of design work for new products, ensuring compliance with regulations and customer requirements.
- Update technical records and provide production teams with necessary drawings and guidance.
- Support customers with technical enquiries and assist with warranty claims.
- Visit customer sites to oversee the initial setup of complex machines and ensure they are functioning optimally.
What You Will Bring:
- A solid understanding of design processes and procedures.
- Experience using computer-aided design software.
- Strong communication skills to build rapport with internal departments and external suppliers.
- The ability to articulate complex design issues clearly.
- Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and Autodesk Vault is desirable but not essential.
