Overview
As a UK-facing Sales Director, you will shape and execute the UK sales strategy to drive growth across revenue, margin and EBIT. You will lead and develop high-performing Sales Management, Technical Field Sales and Inside Sales teams, working remotely with the board and other statutory directors. You will build key customer and supplier relationships, lead pipeline and forecasting, and use data-driven insight to steer commercial performance. This role offers the chance to influence strategy and deliver tangible growth in a broad electronics portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the UK sales strategy and growth plans
- Lead, motivate and develop sales teams
- Drive revenue, gross margin and EBIT growth
- Develop new business, design-in opportunities and strategic target accounts
- Build relationships with key customers and suppliers
- Lead pipeline, forecasting and commercial performance
- Utilise CRM, KPIs and commercial insight to drive focus and accountability
- Collaborate with the senior leadership team to support wider business growth
Key requirements
- Engineering degree – essential
- Significant experience in the electronic component market
- Strong knowledge of the UK electronics market
- Proven track record leading mid to large sales teams and delivering growth
- Strong commercial acumen across revenue, margin, EBIT and forecasting
- Experience in technical, solution-led and design-in sales
- Excellent influencing, negotiation and relationship-building skills
