Overview
You will lead the UK and Ireland territory, selling capital equipment and automation solutions to structural steel and manufacturing segments. You combine technical insight with a commercial approach to uncover investment opportunities and grow key accounts. You’ll own the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting to quotation and order, while collaborating with engineering specialists. This role offers autonomy, a technical-customer-facing focus, and potential for long-term career progression.

Responsibilities
- Develop new sales opportunities across the UK & Ireland for CNC machinery and related technologies
- Identify and approach new customers in structural steel, fabrication and manufacturing sectors
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of capital equipment opportunities
- Grow existing accounts with upgrades and complementary solutions
- Visit customers to understand production processes and investment plans
- Identify automation and productivity improvements to deliver commercial benefits
- Manage full sales cycle from prospecting to order
- Translate technical capabilities into clear ROI and prepare commercial proposals
- Coordinate demonstrations, site visits and technical presentations
- Maintain CRM records, forecasts and opportunity data
- Represent the company at meetings, exhibitions and events
- Travel extensively within the UK & Ireland and occasionally internationally
Key requirements
- Proven field sales experience selling capital equipment or similar technical products
- Experience selling into manufacturing, engineering or steel processing environments
- Track record of developing new business and managing long sales cycles
- Ability to prospect, open new doors and build relationships from scratch
- Resilient with strong follow-up and complex deal management
- Strong relationship-building with technical teams up to senior management
- Consultative selling approach and capability to understand customer operations
- Excellent organization and time management for national territory autonomy
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
