Based in Milton Keynes | Field-based across MOD sites (Milton Keynes, Aylesbury & Buckingham)

Salary: £43,500 per annum + excellent benefits

Jonathan Lee Recruitment is proud to be supporting our defence client in the recruitment of Military Field Service Vehicle Fitters, with a strong preference for ex-Forces, military leavers, REME-trained personnel. This role is ideally suited to individuals leaving, or already transitioned from, the Armed Forces who are experienced in maintaining, diagnosing and repairing military or heavy vehicles and are comfortable working independently in a field environment.

As a Military Field Service Vehicle Fitter, you will be responsible for the in-field maintenance, inspection and repair of military vehicles and associated equipment, operating across MOD sites in and around Milton Keynes, Aylesbury and Buckingham.

  • Diagnose, maintain and repair military vehicles and military equipment in the field
  • Deploy independently to MOD sites, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance

This role is well suited to ex-Forces personnel or HGV Technicians or experienced Military Vehicle mechanics, including:

  • REME-trained Vehicle Mechanics / Fitters
  • Military Vehicle Technicians or Artificers
  • Service leavers transitioning into civilian defence roles
  • C&G Heavy Vehicle Repair Level 3 (or equivalent military qualifications)

Strong background in military vehicle maintenance and repair

Experience with inspections, fault-finding, diagnostics and troubleshooting

Full UK driving licence with Class C (HGV2) minimum

Background working on military vehicles, HGVs, plant, construction, agricultural or specialist vehicles

Military qualifications and experience will be fully recognised and valued.
