We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join a specialist engineering team supporting customers across the UK heavy industrial sector. This is a hands-on, varied role split between workshop engineering and field service work, carrying out installation, maintenance, fault finding, and repair on mechanical systems used in demanding environments such as quarries, foundries, steel plants, and processing facilities. You’ll be trusted as a key engineer responsible for keeping critical plant and equipment running reliably.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Install, service, and repair mechanical plant and industrial equipment
- Carry out pipefitting, pipework installation, and mechanical assembly
- Diagnose and repair faults on:
- Industrial pumps and pumping systems
- Electric motors and drive systems
- Bearings and rotating machinery
- Pneumatic systems (and associated components)
- Complete workshop-based refurbishment, rebuilds, and preparation work
- Attend customer sites across the UK to carry out planned and reactive maintenance
