Do you have experience working with the Food Manufacturing, Food Packaging, FMCG or Manufacturing Industry, and are you looking for a new permanent job? We are proud to be working with a leading food manufacturing business in Telford to help them recruit up to 30 Machine Setter Operators on a straight permanent basis. This business is increasing their production capacity by adding in 2 new production lines, and they are looking to hire permanent staff between now and the beginning of September.
We are looking for someone who lives within a 20-25 mile radius of Telford, Shropshire. This role will be working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (12 hour days and nights shifts). The starting salary is just over £31,500 per annum, initially rising to just under £37,500 per annum, and then finally increasing to just over £41,000 per annum once fully signed off and trained.
This will be a 2 stage interview process, with the first stage consisting of a numeracy and literacy assessment on site in Telford, Shropshire. These roles would be a great fit for someone who has previously worked as a Production Technician, Manufacturing Technician, Technical Operator, Process Operator, Skilled Machine Operator, Machine Setter or Skilled Machinist within a production/manufacturing facility.
What You Will Do:- Work with state-of-the-art, fully automated machinery in a unique and cutting-edge production line.
- Lead a line with machine operators, training, and driving performance to ensure efficient and smooth operations.
- Drive continuous improvement by supporting process refinements to boost productivity.
- Stay hands-on with machinery, identifying potential faults, investigating issues, and solving problems to prevent downtime.
- Ensure 100% compliance with Food Safety, Quality, and Health & Safety standards.
- Manage the production line to standard operating procedures, including start-up and changeovers.
- A strong technical mindset with a passion for working with machinery.
- Flexibility and the ability to thrive under pressure as a team player with plenty of ideas and enthusiasm.
- Technical competence in problem-solving and a proactive approach to ensuring delivery.
- An eagerness to learn new techniques & technology, with a drive for continuous improvements and lean manufacturing.
- Experience within the food or processing industry is advantageous but not essential.
