Our client is a global leader in engine design and development. Following increasing demand for their award-winning combustion engines, they are looking for a talented Senior Design Engineer to join their growing team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment at the forefront of internal combustion and hydrogen engine development.
As a Senior Design Engineer, you will play a key role in taking designs from concept through to production. You will lead by example, mentor junior engineers, and apply your technical expertise to deliver world-class engine solutions.
You will:
- Lead detailed component and full-engine design work using Siemens NX (preferred).
- Oversee the creation of models, assemblies, and design documentation.
- Apply robust design techniques and GD&T to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Solve complex engineering challenges from new concepts to product improvements.
- Support the integration of engines into heavy-duty applications.
- Benchmark designs and drive continuous improvement across the team.
About You
- Experience in mechanical or engine design engineering.
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a related discipline).
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and ICE operation.
- Proven skills in 3D CAD (Siemens NX preferred) and GD&T application.
- The ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and ideally FEA analysis.
