Maintenance Engineer with electrical bias required to join the team at an established Telford based food company to support machine and facilities-based maintenance and installation tasks. With a competitive salary of £42,000 working early day shifts, you will cover a wide range of tasks as the company continues to improve its production processes whilst supporting production through effective planned maintenance.

Telford role working Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm with occasional shift cover required.

As Maintenance Engineer you will:

  • Conduct preventative maintenance on machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Respond promptly to emergency machine breakdowns across the plant and provide effective solutions.
  • Oversee new designs, installations, and movements of machinery, ensuring all equipment is safe, efficient, and fit for purpose.
  • Assist the Engineering Manager and deputise when required, ensuring smooth operations in their absence.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and hygiene in the engineering stores and workshop.
  • Collaborate with the factory team to develop strong relationships and provide technical support to production departments.

What You Will Bring:

  • A recognised Electrical/Mechanical apprenticeship and 18th Edition qualification.
  • Proven experience as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer with an electrical bias, ideally within a food production environment.
  • Experience with automation/PLC systems and knowledge of BRC standards.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling challenges.
  • A commitment to health and safety best practices and attention to detail.

You will have current or recent experience in similar roles such as multi-skilled maintenance engineer, shift maintenance engineer, electrical maintenance engineer or service engineer. This role is essential to driving the company’s goals of operational excellence and continuous improvement. By ensuring machinery is safe, efficient, and well-maintained, you’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality products and supporting the company’s values of innovation and integrity.
