- Manage and place routine purchase orders driven by a 95% Kanban system and 5% MRP scheduling for long lead time items.
- Maintain and oversee the Kanban system, inventory control, and record maintenance.
- Set up stock codes, maintain reorder levels, and produce month-end stock reports.
- Lead and manage stores personnel, ensuring a well-organised and safe stores environment.
- Issue weekly roll-over schedules for key components to ensure just-in-time deliveries.
- Chase overdue orders and address shortages with suppliers, generating weekly shortage reports.
- Collaborate with the technical department to source new products or alternatives for any short parts.
- Oversee year-end stock takes and implement cyclic counting procedures.
