We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Engineer / Project Coordinator to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone early in their projects career who is looking to develop hands-on experience within an engineering and manufacturing environment, particularly plastic injection moulding.
You will support the planning, coordination, and delivery of engineering projects, working closely with senior engineers, production teams, suppliers, and customers. This is a great opportunity to build strong project management skills while gaining exposure to real-world manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities- Support the development and maintenance of project plans, schedules, and documentation
- Coordinate day-to-day project activities to ensure tasks are completed on time and to specification
- Act as a communication link between engineering, production, quality, suppliers, and customers
- Assist with preparation of technical documentation, reports, and progress updates
- Track project milestones, actions, and risks, escalating issues where necessary
- Support procurement activities, including coordinating materials, tooling, and resources
- Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and post-project reviews
- Gain exposure to plastic injection moulding processes, tooling, and manufacturing workflows
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- High attention to detail with a structured and methodical approach
- Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- Willingness to learn and develop within a project-based engineering role
- Experience in a junior project role, project coordination, or similar support position
- Background or education in engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical discipline
- Exposure to plastic injection moulding, tooling, or manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with project tracking tools, drawings, or technical documentation
