We are currently recruiting an experienced Lab Technician to work for our client, a dynamic and innovative business in the battery recycling industry. This role offers an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking company, contribute to cutting-edge projects, and develop your skills in advanced technologies. Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform chemical analysis on environmental and production samples using wet chemical techniques or lab instrumentation.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instruments such as X-ray Fluorescence Spectroscopy, Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy, pH meters, Thermal analyzers (Carbon analyzers), and Inductively Coupled Plasma-Optical Emission Spectroscopy.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Prepare reagents and standards.
- Ensure organization and cleanliness of the laboratory.
- Analyze data and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist in developing and improving SOPs and SWIs for instrumentation, methods, and processes.
- Perform daily checks, maintenance, and housekeeping tasks.
- Support quality management, audits, and external assessments.
- Implement and monitor risk management processes.
- Collaborate with QC personnel and troubleshoot with plant staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Degree in Physical Sciences (Chemistry, Physics, Biology) or Engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
- 3-5 years of laboratory experience preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Windows.
- Effective communication skills with managers, plant operators, and lab personnel.
- Adaptable, flexible, and reliable.
- Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Desire to improve understanding of plant operations and contribute to organizational strategies.
- Hardworking, independent, and technically proficient.
- Ability to produce clear written reports and presentations.
- Compliance with safety procedures.
Salary & Benefits:
