We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join our clients dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for leading the quality assurance efforts, ensuring products consistently meet the highest standards and exceed customers' expectations. As the Senior Quality Engineer, you will be a key member of the Operations team, collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing a team of Shift Quality Controllers and ensuring the effective implementation of quality control procedures.
- Identifying and resolving quality issues through root cause analysis, implementing corrective and preventative actions.
- Managing the customer service process, promptly addressing and resolving any quality-related concerns.
- Reviewing and continuously improving quality check procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Conducting internal audits to ensure adherence to ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 standards.
- Championing the 8D problem-solving methodology and leading the in-house 8D program.
- Providing technical expertise and support for new product introductions and engineering changes.
- Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and process optimisation within the team.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in Production Quality Engineering, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
- Detailed understanding and hands-on experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality management systems.
- Expertise in applying six sigma principles and tools for effective problem-solving.
- Strong customer service orientation and the ability to build and maintain relationships with external customers.
- Excellent analytical and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance customer and business needs.
- Proficiency in reading engineering drawings and using metrological equipment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and manage a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
