What You Will Do:
• Support the development of warehousing and logistics solutions to enhance CPU/HPU performance through meticulous data analysis and process optimisation.
• Utilise knowledge of in-plant logistics processes, lineside delivery methods, storage media, kitting strategies, goods to person and automated delivery systems.
• Manage project elements effectively, ensuring safety, sustainability, quality, and cost efficiency are prioritised.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to optimise end-to-end processes and flow solutions, employing Value Stream maps and/or simulation where necessary.
• Define solution requirements with a keen understanding of the latest in automation and logistics engineering solutions.
• Generate layouts and process flows, and control project \’Plan for every Part\’ inputs, aligning sourcing, stock holding, and more.
• Create standards documentation for new solutions and manage RFQ processes to project nomination.
What You Will Bring:
• Knowledge of solution and layout designs using Autodesk Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software (must be able to create logistics warehouse and lineside layouts in CAD).
• In-plant logistics experience.
• Knowledge and experience of solution data gathering, modelling and requirements management.
• Proven experience in Manufacturing Logistics, with a broad knowledge of logistic engineering solutions, processes, systems, and equipment.
• Knowledge and experience of supporting data management, requirements gathering, solution and layout designs, business case creation, right through to delivery and final project completion.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to use data for simulating solution scenarios and for process improvement.
• Proficiency in creating warehouse and lineside layouts and in project management/delivery of small projects.
• Experience in Value Stream Mapping and the identification and elimination of waste.
• Excellent communication skills, able to articulate complex ideas effectively and work independently.
