Are you seeking a new role? My client is a leading automation solutions provider seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to oversee live panel testing of industrial drives and PLCs in control panels. Working Days
Monday – Friday with an early finish on Friday

What You Will Do

  • This role is pivotal in leading the company into the digital era, through the design and delivery of world-class automation solutions.
  • Carry out quality inspection and electrical testing of control panels, ensuring the highest standards are met.
  • Read and understand mechanical and electrical technical drawings, ensuring components are correct and functional.
  • Be responsible for the calibration of all in-house test equipment and maintain high standards of house-keeping within the service area.
  • Record test results accurately, identifying and correcting faults as required, and liaise with other departments to ensure project timelines are met.
  • Support panel build and wiring activities when testing is not required, adhering to company and external quality and safety standards.

What You Will Bring

  • Electrical/electronic engineering qualification with a minimum of 5 years panel wiring experience.
  • Time spent in a role as electrical test engineer.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to use initiative and pay close attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills with the capability to prioritise effectively.
  • Good knowledge of systems integration incorporating variable speed drives, robotics, PLCs is advantageous.
  • A hands-on attitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
