Our client, Yamazaki Mazak is a leading global manufacturing company based in Worcester. This Electrical Production Engineer is an excellent opportunity to work for a market leading Machine Tool manufacturer who have been at the forefront of the industry for many years. Jonathan Lee Workforce Solutions are the preferred supplier to Mazak.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Electrical Production Engineer to provide technical support across Mazak's state‑of‑the‑art production facility. You’ll play a key role in maintaining smooth manufacturing operations and supporting the continuous development of new machinery.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical support to all production departments on electrical systems.
- Respond promptly to resolve machine breakdowns and minimise line stoppages.
- Electrically test and validate new machine options, including full functional checks.
- Prepare modification requests for design changes to electrical circuits and loom harnesses.
- Create and maintain electrical assembly process documents and check sheets.
- Test and evaluate new machines prior to release.
- Specify, design, and commission electrical test rigs.
- Identify potential risks and implement safety improvements.
- Provide technical support to the Service and Quality Assurance departments.
- Apprentice trained in an electrical engineering discipline.
- Qualified Electrical Engineer with a recognised electrical qualification 18th Edition, HNC (Electrical Engineering) or equivalent.
- Strong industrial electrical experience.
- IT literate, with good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
- Self‑motivated, well‑organised, and able to manage time effectively.
- Strong communication skills and a sound understanding of electrical engineering principles.
