A large food and agricultural company are seeking an experienced Engineering Team Leader to join and lead their engineering team. This role offers the chance to lead and drive innovative engineering projects, making a tangible impact on operations. You will be responsible for leading engineering maintenance, managing projects, and leading a team of engineers.

Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 plus £1,100 shift allowance & benefits.

Shifts:

  • Week 1: Monday – Friday - 06:00 – 15:30
  • Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday - 06:00 – 15:30

What You Will Do:

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects across the site.
  • Implement and maintain engineering best practices to ensure operational excellence.
  • Manage, motivate, and mentor a dedicated team of engineers.
  • Identify and resolve recurring faults, improving equipment reliability.
  • Coordinate equipment servicing and maintenance with external service providers.
  • Participate in the on-call rota to provide essential support during maintenance emergencies.

What You Will Bring:

  • Proven experience in leading or managing a team effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills, fostering teamwork and positive workplace culture.
  • Completion of an Engineering Apprenticeship or Level 3 equivalent qualifications.
  • Experience in the agricultural or food industry is advantageous.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
