Are you seeking a new role? My client is a leading automation solutions provider seeking an Electrical Test Engineer to oversee live panel testing of industrial drives and PLCs in control panels. Working Days: Monday β Friday with an early finish on Friday.
What You Will Do:
- This role is pivotal in leading the company into the digital era, through the design and delivery of world-class automation solutions.
- Carry out quality inspection and electrical testing of control panels, ensuring the highest standards are met.
- Read and understand mechanical and electrical technical drawings, ensuring components are correct and functional.
- Be responsible for the calibration of all in-house test equipment and maintain high standards of house-keeping within the service area.
- Record test results accurately, identifying and correcting faults as required, and liaise with other departments to ensure project timelines are met.
- Support panel build and wiring activities when testing is not required, adhering to company and external quality and safety standards.
What You Will Bring:
- Electrical/electronic engineering qualification with a minimum of 5 years panel wiring experience.
- Time spent in a role as electrical test engineer.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to use initiative and pay close attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the capability to prioritise effectively.
- Good knowledge of systems integration incorporating variable speed drives, robotics, PLCs is advantageous.
- A hands-on attitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both individually and as part of a team.
- Current or recent experience as electrical technician, electrical tester, test technician, electrical test and inspection, panel wiring, control system engineer, control panel wirer, control panel tester, NPI wirer, Industrial Drives.
