An exciting opportunity has arisen for a MAF Facility Engineer to join the Facilities division supporting Engineering Operations within Product Engineering. This role is focused on ensuring high-quality, timely product releases by maintaining and supporting advanced test facilities used across next-generation and current-generation powertrain technologies, including combustion, hybrid and electric vehicle systems.

Working across Product Development sites, you will support the operation, maintenance and compliance of testing facilities and equipment, ensuring capability for certification and development testing activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out planned maintenance, servicing and fault rectification across facility equipment
  • Support facility compliance for certification and development testing
  • Maintain productive capability and ensure continuity of testing operations
  • Diagnose faults, conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Support engineering customers, operators, suppliers and external agencies
  • Ensure adherence to international laboratory accreditation and local compliance standards
  • Produce and maintain technical documentation, plans and process records
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Level 4 qualification in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Strong fault-finding, diagnostic and problem-solving capability
  • Experience with maintenance, calibration and instrumentation activities
  • Electrical, mechanical and emissions testing knowledge
  • Ability to read and validate electrical/mechanical/flow diagrams
  • Understanding of Health & Safety, Risk Assessments and COSHH regulations
  • Strong communication and workload management skills
  • Competent with Microsoft Office and technical documentation
Desirable Experience
  • Emissions measurement equipment and systems
  • Chassis Dynamometers and Drive Cabinets
  • Data acquisition and automation systems including Concerto and Tableau
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO TS 16949 and ISO 17025 standards
