Overview

In this role, you will design and develop mechanical components for advanced powertrain systems and transform concepts into manufacturable solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to tackle engineering challenges from concept through production, ensuring performance, reliability, and manufacturability. The position offers exposure to cutting-edge marine propulsion technology and a chance to influence products from development to production. You will apply your problem-solving skills to deliver robust mechanical solutions that push the boundaries of marine powertrains.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for advanced powertrain systems
  • Create 3D CAD models and manufacturing drawings using NX
  • Support concept generation, design reviews, validation and product release activities
  • Perform engineering calculations and analysis to support design decisions
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, test and development teams to resolve technical challenges
  • Ensure designs meet performance, reliability and manufacturability requirements
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of existing and future products

Key requirements

  • Degree qualified Mechanical Engineer or equivalent experience
  • Strong product development background within complex mechanical systems
  • Experience designing powertrain, drivetrain, transmission, hydraulic or similar mechanical systems
  • Proficiency in CAD, ideally Siemens NX
  • Strong understanding of GD&T and tolerance stack analysis
  • Practical engineering mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work effectively within cross-functional engineering teams
