Create 3D CAD designs for LV and HV harnesses using CATIA V6, ensuring seamless integration with vehicle systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Electrical, Chassis, and Powertrain design teams, to deliver effective engineering solutions.
- Design and package EDS components and wire harnesses to meet electrical modelling standards and achieve cost and weight targets.
- Support virtual build events, prototype builds, and design reviews to ensure robust and reliable electrical installations.
- Manage project-level engineering change control activities and ensure accurate release of parts and assembly structures into the bill of materials.
- Provide engineering support for vehicle/system commissioning, fault finding, and diagnosis during prototype builds.
Extensive experience in automotive EDS design and development.
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 and Teamcenter, with a strong understanding of harness assembly processes.
- Expertise in LV and HV electrical systems, including connection systems, distribution, harnessing, and data communication.
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and deliver high-quality results in line with project milestones.
