What You Will Do:
- Develop and implement comprehensive commercial and bidding strategies that align with the company's values and objectives.
- Lead and manage the entire bid lifecycle from RFQ through to response document stage, ensuring high-quality proposals that meet client needs and stand out in the marketplace.
- Create and manage costing and pricing models, budgets, EACs, and cashflow profiles for bids.
- Negotiate contract terms and conditions to secure profitable agreements while minimising risks and ensuring legal compliance with regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders to enhance opportunities and drive growth.
- Support the wider team by monitoring performance during project delivery to ensure objectives are met with the company's current product portfolio.
What You Will Bring:
- Proven experience in commercial management, bid management, or related roles within the Engineering, Manufacturing within Defence or other mainstream sectors.
- Strong understanding of commercial principles, contract management, and bid processes.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and bid management software, with a strategic mindset for developing successful commercial strategies.
- Experience with Single Source Resource would be advantageous but experience within competitive bidding process essential.
