The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced CMM Programmer / Inspector to join the Goods Inwards Inspection Laboratory at a specialist engineering and manufacturing business based in Shenstone. This is a hands-on technical role with an approximately 50/50 split between CMM programming and inspection, working with intricate, high-precision components. This is not a high-volume, repetitive inspection environment. You will be working with technically complex, precision-engineered components where accurate CMM programming, dimensional measurement and interpretation of engineering drawings are critical.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and modify CMM inspection programmes using Mitutoyo MCOSMOS
  • Carry out detailed dimensional inspection of intricate, precision-engineered components and sub-assemblies
  • Inspect components against complex engineering drawings, specifications and quality requirements
  • Undertake First Article Inspection (FAI) activities
  • Carry out goods-inwards inspection of precision components
  • Perform dimensional audits of assembled engines prior to customer shipment
  • Analyse CMM inspection results and identify dimensional or quality issues
