We are currently recruiting for an experienced Projects Engineer to work for our client’s service team. This is an exciting role to strengthen our clients after-sales and spares capability. This is a varied and commercially focused role working across service projects, spares, and performance improvement, supporting customers across a wide range of industrial sectors.
The Role
You will manage and coordinate after-sales service projects and spares-related activities, from initial enquiry and quotation through to execution, completion, and financial close-out. This position sits at the centre of service delivery, working closely with engineering, field service, spares, procurement, and management teams, with a strong focus on commercial control, KPI monitoring, and continuous improvement. Occasional support to field service coordination may be required, but this is not a scheduling role.
Key Responsibilities
- Appraise and coordinate after-sales service project and spares enquiries
- Prepare and progress quotations and proposals
- Coordinate service projects from order through to completion and invoicing
- Support development of new spares and after-sales offerings
- Monitor and report on service and spares KPIs and performance
- Identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities
- Work closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers
What We’re Looking For
- Relevant engineering qualification, apprenticeship background, or strong hands-on experience within an industrial or engineering environment
- Engineering graduates will also be considered
- Experience within industrial, plant, or process engineering environments
- Background in service delivery, after-sales, spares, or engineering project support
- Strong organisational skills with good commercial awareness
- Clear and confident communicator, comfortable working with customers and internal teams
- Full UK driving licence
- Salesforce experience (or similar CRM/service management systems) would be advantageous
- NetSuite or ERP system experience would be an added benefit
- Desirable: Experience with steam systems, thermal equipment, combustion, or industrial services
