An opportunity has arisen to join the Service Department as a Service Engineer. This role would suit an electrically or mechanically qualified engineer. Full training will be provided, with the successful candidate becoming a key member of the Service Team.
Job Description: Field-based role travelling to customer sites to service Mazak machines as part of planned maintenance. Duties include fault diagnosis, machine alignment checks, and general servicing. The role involves representing Mazak to customers, working in a professional and safety-conscious manner at all times.
Person Specification:
- Essential Criteria:
- Must have electrically or mechanical experience.
- Must be able to read and understand mechanical drawings and schematics electrical drawings.
- Have basic programme experience (Mazak/Siemens/Heidenham).
- Understanding of levelling alignments and geometric of machine tools.
- Knowledge and understanding of different control systems.
- Experienced in the use of Mazatrol controls and the whole Mazak product range.
- Professional and customer focused attitude.
- A committed, 'can do' attitude.
- Flexible, able to work overtime, weekends and overnight stays.
- Clean driving licence.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate with customers at all levels.
- Transferable skills that can be put across several different models of machines.
- Desirable Criteria:
- 5-axis knowledge would be beneficial.
- Experience of report writing.
