Assistant Buyer β Supply Chain Planning Focus

Are you ready to take the next step in your supply chain career? We\βre looking for an Assistant Buyer to join this busy Purchasing team, supporting the planning and scheduling of a fast-moving supply chain that keeps operations running smoothly.
This is an exciting opportunity to build your expertise in procurement and supply chain planning, working with a wide network of suppliers and playing a key role in keeping production on track.
What you\βll be doing
- Managing supplier deliveries in line with ERP/MRP schedules
- Executing supply strategies including MRP, Kanban, and Just-in-Time ordering
- Taking ownership of order books, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery
- Anticipating shortages and working with suppliers to resolve issues before they impact production
- Driving supplier performance and improving on-time, in-full (OTIF) metrics
- Analysing data, optimising order parameters, and keeping stock levels aligned with demand
- Supporting smooth financial operations by resolving invoice queries quickly
What we\βre looking for
- A strong organiser with excellent planning and scheduling skills
- Confident communicator who can build strong relationships with suppliers and internal teams
- Analytical mindset with solid IT skills, especially Excel for data analysis
- Knowledge of ERP systems and manufacturing processes
- Ability to stay calm under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Desirable extras
- Experience with Microsoft AX (not essential)
- Ability to read engineering drawings
- A passion for continuous improvement in supply chain planning
