We're currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Improver to support a range of industrial electrical installation projects at a major manufacturing facility in Telford. Working alongside Approved Electricians and Supervisors, you'll assist with the installation of electrical systems and equipment on a busy industrial site, contributing to the successful delivery of ongoing projects.

The Role

As an Electrical Improver, you'll play a key role in supporting electrical installation work while developing your skills within a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with industrial electrical installations.
  • Install containment systems including cable tray, basket, trunking and conduit.
  • Pull, dress and secure power and control cables.
  • Assist with cable glanding and terminations.
  • Support the installation of motors, control panels and other industrial equipment.
  • Read and work from electrical drawings under supervision.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping and site safety.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with site procedures and current regulations.
  • Work closely with electricians and the wider project team to deliver work safely and efficiently.

About You

To be considered, you'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience as an Electrical Improver within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • ECS Electrical Labourer/Improver Card.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification (or equivalent).
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (desirable).
  • Experience installing containment and assisting with cable installation.
  • Good understanding of health and safety on construction or industrial sites.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team with a proactive attitude.
  • Willingness to learn and develop your electrical installation skills.
  • IPAF.
