We're currently recruiting for an experienced Approved Electrician to support a range of industrial electrical installation projects at a major manufacturing facility in Telford. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established engineering team working on a variety of electrical installation, upgrade and maintenance projects within a busy industrial environment.
The Role
Working as part of a skilled site team, you'll be responsible for carrying out high-quality electrical installation work while ensuring all activities are completed safely, efficiently and in accordance with current regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Industrial electrical installation work.
- Installation of containment including tray, basket, trunking and conduit.
- Cable pulling, terminating and glanding.
- Installation and connection of motors, control panels and industrial equipment.
- Electrical modifications and project installation work.
- Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
- Testing and inspecting completed installations where required.
- Ensuring all work complies with BS7671 and site health and safety procedures.
- Working collaboratively with supervisors, engineers and other trades to deliver projects on schedule.
About You
To be considered, you'll ideally have:
- Approved Electrician status.
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- ECS/JIB Gold Card.
- Previous experience within industrial or manufacturing environments.
- Experience installing industrial containment and power distribution systems.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong commitment to safe working practices.
- IPAF (essential).
