Servicing Engineer – CNC - North West – Manchester/Liverpool/Preston/Warrington £14.82 – £18.83/hr (c.£33k – 39k per annum) plus company vehicle & door to door travel.

The Company

Our client, Yamazaki Mazak, is a leading global manufacturing company. This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading machine tool manufacturer. An opportunity has arisen to join the Service Department as a Service Engineer. This role would suit an electrically or mechanically qualified engineer. Full training will be provided, with the successful candidate becoming a key member of the Service Team.

Job Description

Field-based role travelling to customer sites to service Mazak machines as part of planned maintenance. Duties include fault diagnosis, machine alignment checks, and general servicing. The role involves representing Mazak to customers, working in a professional and safety-conscious manner at all times.

Essential Criteria

  • Electrical or mechanical experience
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings
  • Basic programme experience (Mazak / Siemens / Heidenhain)
  • Understanding of machine tool levelling, alignment, and geometry
  • Knowledge of different control systems
  • Experience with Mazatrol controls and Mazak machines
  • Professional, customer-focused approach
  • Flexible with overtime, weekends, and overnight stays
  • Clean driving licence
  • Strong problem-solving ability
  • Ability to communicate with customers at all levels

  • 5-axis knowledge
  • Experience of report writing
