What You Will Do:
- Prepare and maintain existing tooling to meet precise requirements.
- Identify and rectify day-to-day tooling issues, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure all production tooling is cleaned, safe, and production-ready, adhering to strict preventative maintenance processes.
- Support the coordination of engineering changes and assist in maintaining spare parts inventory.
- Design, make tools/templates for prototype parts, and verify conformance of machined/repaired tools to specifications.
- Provide feedback and record work undertaken to continually improve tool performance.
What You Will Bring:
- Completion of a relevant time-served apprenticeship.
- Exceptional hand tool skills and the ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Experience with Toolroom equipment, including overhead cranes, and inspection equipment.
- Proficiency in using milling machines, lathes, surface grinders, and bench grinders.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
You may have worked in similar roles such as tool repair technician, tooling engineer, manual machinist.
