Looking for your next opportunity in manufacturing? We're recruiting for an experienced Tool Change Setter/Fitter to join a well-established and growing manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a modern production environment, working with injection and blow moulding machinery while playing a key role in maximising production efficiency.
The Role
As a Tool Change Setter/Fitter, you'll be responsible for carrying out efficient tool changes, preparing machinery for production and supporting the engineering team to minimise downtime and maintain safe, efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out tool changes on injection and blow moulding machines in line with setting sheets and target changeover times.
- Prepare and install all secondary equipment required for production.
- Complete all tool change documentation accurately and on time.
- Identify and report defects with mould tools, dies, machinery or associated equipment.
- Support basic maintenance activities on production equipment, including granulators and power packs where required.
- Return tooling to the toolroom following production runs.
- Maintain excellent housekeeping standards and promote safe working practices at all times.
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to reduce downtime and improve operational efficiency.
About You
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have:
- Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Experience carrying out tool and die changes on injection and/or blow moulding machines.
- The ability to work from setting sheets and follow structured processes.
- FLT licence or previous forklift experience.
- Lifting and slinging experience.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
- A strong understanding of health and safety within manufacturing.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- A willingness to undertake further training where required.

- Meet or exceed standard tool change target times without compromising safety or quality.
- Help reduce machine downtime and improve production efficiency.
- Complete all tool change documentation accurately.
- Develop a thorough understanding of all moulding machinery and associated equipment.
- Confidently support the Engineering team with routine maintenance activities.
