Maintenance Engineer role working for an established manufacturer in Telford. You will support maintenance of automated production lines on a range of machines involving pneumatics, hydraulics motors and PLC's. The role offers a very competitive salary and holiday allowance with a good shift pattern and a strong team culture.

Hours: Day Shift Mon - Fri 37 Hours

Salary: up to £42,600

The Job Outline:

  • Hands-on, multi-skilled maintenance role maintaining a wide range of automated equipment for a large well-established employer in Telford working on shift with a team of engineers.

As Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer you will be:

  • Fixing breakdowns fast (reactive maintenance) to keep production running
  • Preventing failures through planned and preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Fault-finding across systems: PLCs, robotics, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical
  • Working to automotive standards and processes
  • Supporting installs and upgrades
  • Providing critical support for production ensuring machine availability is maintained

The Environment:

  • Automated lines, robots, conveyors, process machines and press equipment
  • Strong focus on continuous improvement (Kaizen, 5S, lean systems)
  • Clean and well-run manufacturing site

Key experience requirements:

  • Electrical + mechanical competence
  • Automation/robotics experience essential
  • Automotive Experience advantageous
  • PLC fault finding required

You will have current or recent experience as maintenance engineer, maintenance technician, multi-skilled engineer, multi-skilled maintenance engineer, mechanical maintenance engineer, technician, injection moulding, die casting, mechanical fitter, electrical or shift engineer, mechatronic engineer, machine builder, machine fitter, electrical technician, robot technician, robot tech, electrical maintenance engineer or service engineer.

Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds Level 3 mechanical or electrical
  • Time Served Apprenticeship
  • 18th Edition (wiring regs)
