What You Will Do:

  • Support the development of axle CAD concepts and integrate corner modules and axle links into subframes and the rest of the vehicle.
  • Respond to work requests and follow technical direction to ensure programme deliverables are met.
  • Create suspension layout studies, check packaging, and consider kinematics, dynamic envelopes, compliance, tuning, and component variability.
  • Generate suspension hard point datasheets for release and cascade information to relevant areas.
  • Complete the Design Verification Plan (DVP) for suspension assemblies using CAD as the validation tool.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure best practices are incorporated into concept studies.

What You Will Bring:

  • Proficiency in Catia v5 or Catia v6 (Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE) software.
  • Solid understanding of suspension design fundamentals.
  • Strong organisational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to deliver results with minimal supervision.
  • Problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn and adopt new methods to enhance team effectiveness.
  • A mechanical engineering degree (MEng, BEng, MSc, or BSc) or equivalent qualification.
