Are you an experienced Quality Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, QA Manager or Quality Control Manager seeking a new job opportunity? Do you have previous knowledge and experience of managing QMS, and are you looking for a day shift job?
We are looking for a Quality Manager to join a long-standing manufacturer in Stourbridge (West Midlands). Typical working hours for this job will range between a 6am-7am start, with a 4pm/4.30pm finish (44 hours per week), although there does need to be some flexibility with start and finish times depending on the business needs. An annual salary of up to £50,000 per annum is available for the right person (DOE). Due to the nature of the business, previous experience within heavy manufacturing/engineering would be preferred (Foundry, Castings, Iron, Galvanising Plants, Mild Steel), but this isn’t essential.
You will be responsible for a team of up to 8, working closely with the QHSE Manager and reporting directly into Manufacturing & Managing Directors. This will be a 2 stage interview process, and the hiring manager is keen to start interviewing suitable candidates ASAP.
What You Will Do:
- Lead the company's efforts to maintain consistent product quality and implement robust process controls.
- Analyse performance data to identify opportunities for improvement, driving a culture of quality excellence.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of a formal quality management system and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Mentor and develop talent across the organisation, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability for quality.
- Manage customer complaints, non-conformances, and returns, ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Conduct audits, develop inspection procedures, and promote continuous improvement initiatives to optimise manufacturing processes.
What You Will Bring:
- Minimum of 3 years experience within a similar role - ESSENTIAL.
- Previous experience within heavy manufacturing/engineering (Foundry, Castings, Iron, Galvanising Plants, Mild Steel) - Preferred but not essential.
- Experience managing quality systems and implementing process controls to maintain quality standards.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence change at all levels of the organisation.
