Step into a pivotal leadership role as a Senior NPI Quality Engineer and help bring high-quality, regulated products to life from first design through to production release. If you enjoy hands-on problem solving, cross-functional collaboration and driving measurable improvements in quality, the Senior NPI Quality Engineer position offers exactly that, with real influence over NPI APQP/PPAP work, supplier performance and product reliability.
As a Senior NPI Quality Engineer you will:
- Lead the APQP/PPAP process for new product introductions, ensuring designs are ready for mass production release, including supplied parts and materials with a bias towards complex electronic products and systems.
- Manage core NPI quality deliverables such as DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans and FAIRs, supporting smooth progression through prototype and pre-production builds (IQ, OQ, PQ).
- Represent Quality in NPI project meetings, translating complex quality data into clear actions and next steps for engineering and supply chain teams.
- Drive resolution of NPI quality issues by tracking corrective and preventive actions, and investigate early or NPI market returns to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure PPAP compliance, support audits and review documentation to meet regulatory and company quality expectations.
- Strengthen regulatory compliance and risk management across the product lifecycle, supporting ISO and FDA-aligned standards where applicable.
As a Senior NPI Quality Engineer you will have:
- Proven, hands-on experience delivering the full APQP/PPAP lifecycle in a manufacturing or innovation-driven, regulated environment, ideally within medical devices or automotive.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and controls within the manufacturing of PCBA/electronics and associated components.
- High proficiency in APQP tools and methods such as D/PFMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, DMAIC and CAPA, with a confident approach to auditing.
- A background in supporting the design, development and manufacturing of electronic products working closely with engineering teams in the upfront phases of R&D, NPD and NPI.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to summarise complex information and challenge issues constructively.
- A relevant engineering or quality qualification, such as a degree/HND/HNC in Electronic/Mechanical/Production Engineering or Quality Management, with Six Sigma certification a valuable advantage.
This company is focused on delivering energy-based skin products with robust quality, safety and regulatory standards. In the Senior NPI Quality Engineer role, your work directly supports smoother NPI execution, fewer quality and warranty concerns, stronger supplier PPAP performance, and continuous improvement across APQP/PPAP processes focused on the design, development and manufacturing of electronic products and complex systems.
