As a Senior NPI Engineer you will

  • Lead the APQP/PPAP process for new product introductions, ensuring designs are ready for mass production release, including supplied parts and materials with a bias towards complex electronic products and systems.
  • Manage core NPI quality deliverables such as DFMEA, PFMEA, control plans and FAIRs, supporting smooth progression through prototype and pre-production builds (IQ, OQ, PQ).
  • Represent Quality in NPI project meetings, translating complex quality data into clear actions and next steps for engineering and supply chain teams.
  • Drive resolution of NPI quality issues by tracking corrective and preventive actions, and investigate early or NPI market returns to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure PPAP compliance, support audits and review documentation to meet regulatory and company quality expectations.
  • Strengthen regulatory compliance and risk management across the product lifecycle, supporting ISO and FDA-aligned standards where applicable.

As a Senior NPI Engineer you will have

  • Proven, hands-on experience delivering the full APQP/PPAP lifecycle in a manufacturing or innovation-driven, regulated environment, ideally within medical devices or automotive.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and controls within the manufacturing of PCBA/electronics and associated components.
  • High proficiency in APQP tools and methods such as D/PFMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, DMAIC and CAPA, with a confident approach to auditing.
  • A background in supporting the design, development and manufacturing of electronic products working closely with engineering teams in the upfront phases of R&D, NPD and NPI.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to summarise complex information and challenge issues constructively.
  • A relevant engineering or quality qualification, such as a degree/HND/HNC in Electronic/Mechanical/Production Engineering or Quality Management, with Six Sigma certification a valuable advantage.
