Shift Pattern 4 on 4 off days & nights What You Will Do: - Deputise for the Shift Manager and lead the team of shift engineers, keeping engineering performance focused and proactive. - Drive preventative maintenance and efficient breakdown response to minimise plant downtime and support reliable production. - Lead technical problem-solving to identify root causes, improve fault diagnosis, and maintain high engineering and safety standards. - Mentor Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 Maintenance Engineers, as well as apprentices, helping skills and confidence grow on every shift. - Monitor engineering and operational KPIs, review PMs, and coordinate job inclusion into weekend or daily plans. - Produce engineering shift reports, manage on-shift engineering activities, and ensure equipment is correctly set up and shut down each cycle. What You Will Bring: - Time-served multi-skilled engineering background with at least 5 years post-apprenticeship experience. - Apprenticeship-trained Level 3 or above in an engineering discipline. - Strong fault-finding ability and confidence working with process machinery or equivalent equipment. - Evidence of working safely and maintaining effective systems such as CMMS, with a detail-focused approach to compliance and quality. - Preferably supervisory or mentoring experience in a similar operational environment, with clear communication skills.
