We are recruiting a QHSE Manager to lead compliance, continuous improvement, and cultural change at a recently upgraded production facility in Sandy, Bedfordshire. The Role
This is a hands-on leadership position with responsibility for the full QHSE function within a manufacturing setting. You will act as the subject matter expert for quality, health & safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring systems are not only maintained but continuously improved.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
- Manage and enhance the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System
- Ensure full compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation, including risk assessments and policy development
- Conduct root cause analysis (e.g. 8D, 5 Whys) and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Manage internal audits, non-conformance processes, and customer complaints
- Act as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement across the site
Requirements
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment (essential)
- Background as a QHSE Manager, HSE Manager, EHS Manager, or Quality Manager
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 (ISO 14001 desirable)
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) is essential
- Experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
