Testing Technician Location: Rugby, Warwickshire Salary: Flexible Depending on experience The Opportunity: Are you a Mechanical Technician, Engineering Technician or Test Technician who enjoys hands-on practical engineering? We're looking for a Mechanical Testing Technician / Engineering Test Technician to join the clients team in Rugby. This is a hands-on role involving the physical testing of security products, using test rigs, machinery and defined test procedures to assess products against in-house specifications and recognised BS, EN and ISO standards. You don't need previous experience in the security industry. We're particularly interested in candidates with a mechanical engineering or practical engineering background, and training will be provided on our products and testing processes. What will you be doing: As a Testing Technician, your responsibilities will include: Carrying out physical and mechanical testing of security products Performing rig and machine-based testing Following detailed test procedures and specifications Testing products against in-house, BS, EN, ISO and other relevant standards Recording test results accurately and producing technical test reports Supporting the preparation, assembly and modification of test rigs and test fixtures Using practical engineering skills including basic machining, fabrication and welding where required Liaising professionally with clients and othe...
