If you\’re passionate about delivering robust solutions and mentoring the next generation of engineers, this could be the perfect role for you. **For the right skill set, the hiring manager would also consider a part time working arrangement** What You Will Do: – Conduct testing of diesel and gasoline combustion and aftertreatment systems in both vehicles and testbed environments. – Support environmental test trips and collaborate with third-party suppliers to ensure robust calibrations. – Develop and calibrate diesel particulate filter (DPF) systems, including soot and fuel-in-oil models. – Perform On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) calibration for diesel systems. – Utilise tools such as INCA/MDA, Concerto, CRETA, and Matlab/Simulink to analyse data and optimise calibration. – Coach and mentor junior engineers, sharing knowledge and expertise to support their development. What You Will Bring: – Strong knowledge of calibration tools such as INCA/MDA, Concerto, CRETA, and Matlab/Simulink. – Demonstrated experience in emissions testing for internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. – Proven ability to conduct testbed development for combustion and aftertreatment systems. – A full UK or European driving licence and passport, enabling participation in European-based test trips. – A degree in Engineering, showcasing a solid foundation in technical expertise.
