You'll be responsible for understanding your customers, keeping things moving, solving problems and spotting opportunities to add value.

You'll work as part of a supportive sales team, collaborating with colleagues across Production, Planning, Logistics and Finance to make sure customers receive a professional and responsive service.

The Role

As an Account Manager, you'll manage an established portfolio of B2B customers across the UK.

You'll be the main point of contact for your customers, building relationships through regular communication and making sure they receive a professional, responsive and proactive service.

You'll manage enquiries, quotations and orders while working closely with internal teams to ensure everything runs smoothly.

You'll also look for opportunities to grow existing accounts, introduce customers to additional products and re engage customers who may have become less active.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Managing your own portfolio of established B2B customer accounts.
  • Building strong customer relationships through regular telephone and email contact.
  • Preparing quotations and following opportunities through to order.
  • Processing orders and monitoring progress through to delivery.
  • Keeping customers informed about lead times, stock availability and order progress.
  • Working closely with External Sales to maximise opportunities.
  • Identifying opportunities to cross sell and upsell relevant products.
  • Monitoring customer buying patterns and proactively re engaging dormant accounts.
  • Dealing with product enquiries and providing after sales support.
  • Working closely with Production, Planning, Logistics and Finance to resolve queries and keep customers informed.
  • Maintaining accurate customer records using CRM and SAP systems.
  • Producing reports and supporting sales meetings when required.

About You

You'll be a confident communicator who enjoys dealing with customers and building relationships.

You don't need to be an aggressive salesperson.

We're looking for someone who understands that good Account Management is about listening, being responsive, solving problems and identifying opportunities when they arise.

You'll be organised, proactive and commercially aware, with the ability to manage multiple accounts while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.

  • Experience using CRM systems.
  • SAP experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining excellent attention to detail.
