Are you an experienced Press Brake Setter Operator who has worked on Trumpf machines, and are you looking for a permanent job within Stevenage? We are looking for 2 experienced Press Brake Operators to join a leading sheet metal manufacturing business in Stevenage. The standard working hours are 8am-4.30pm Monday to Friday (40 hours per week), with overtime opportunities available which are paid at T1/2. The annual salary will range between £37,500 - £42,500 per annum (hourly rate of £18.00 - £20.50 per hour) DOE.

What You Will Do:

  • Set up and operate press brake machines to bend, form, and shape sheet metal components, primarily using stainless steel and aluminium.
  • Adjust ram and back gauge positions according to process control instructions, PDFs, and models.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications to ensure high levels of accuracy.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision tools such as micrometres, callipers, and gauges to verify dimensions.
  • Perform basic maintenance and cleaning on the press brake machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor production quality and make adjustments as needed to meet exacting standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and management to achieve daily production goals and maintain workflow.

What You Will Bring:

  • Proven experience setting and operating Amada or Trumpf press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot and make machine adjustments.
  • Confidence in using hand tools and press brake tooling safely and effectively.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, with a solid understanding of part tolerances.
  • Skilled in using precision measuring instruments to ensure the quality of finished parts.
