Shifts: Monday – Thursday 7am-3:30pm, Friday 7am-12pm (38 hours a week)
Salary: £38,500 - 40,000
What You Will Do:
- Perform maintenance on a variety of machinery, including CNC mills and lathes, compressors, furnaces, and more.
- Engage in machining and fabrication tasks as required.
- Conduct electrical testing on motors and check windings, handling equipment up to 600V 3 phase.
- Operate within a dynamic team, contributing to the maintenance of 1600 machines.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance site performance.
- Support the investment in machinery through your expertise, particularly in CNC machine tools and sensors.
What You Will Bring:
- A strong mechanical or electrical skill set, with multi-skilling seen as advantageous.
- Experience with CNC machine tools, including operation and maintenance.
- Proficiency in machining and fabrication.
- C&G or NVQ equivalent level 3 mechanical or electrical.
- Electrical knowledge, especially in testing motors and checking windings – High voltage, 3 phase.
- A big plus if you have PLC experience, not essential though.
- You will have current or recent experience as maintenance technician, multi-skilled engineer, multi-skilled maintenance engineer, mechanical maintenance engineer, CNC operator technician or shift engineer, electrical fitter, mechanical fitter, welder fabricator.
